Milton and Jean Saizon of
Sachse,and seven other cou-
ples recently returned from
an eight-day Hawaiian vaca-
tion. They flew to Honulula
via the luxuary jumbo jet
Braniff 747, and then made
cruises to Pearl Harbor,
Oahu, Kauau and Waikiki
Islands.
This trip was a bonus gift
for 20 years service given
by their former boss, Dick
Pickens,of Texas Aluminum
Co. now known as Hommett
Co. The other couples were
Messieurs and Mesdames
Marion Odell of Garland,
Homer Page,Norris Akins,
Fred Ellis,Roy McCassland,
Sealy Summers and Dee
Woody, all of Rockwall....
Alberta Himel was recently
in Memorial Hospital
Floy Faye Bailey is home
after 10 day stay in Baylor
Hosp. for radium treatment,
Jim Barger is improved and
now at home...Billy Butts
is Community Hosp. recu-
perating from surgery on
vertebrae in his neck... Leo
Smolka is still in Wylie Hosp.
getting stronger each day. •
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Ward,Sr.
of Leawood, Kan., recently
visited in Sachse on the way
home from California.... • •
The Hankins, Adrian and
Barbara and their two
daughters, Vicki and
Adrianne , recently re-
turned from a combination
business and pleasure trip
to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico
Barbara enjoyed shopping
for flower stands and pots
for flowers,as well as
other items for her home,
while Adrian took care of
the buisness part of the
trip.

LADIES AUXILIARY
The Ladies Auxiliary to
the Sachse Volunteer Fire
Dept. held their regular
meeting, Tuesday March
16th., President, Naomi
Reed, presided.
Fourteen members and
one guest, Mozelle Hooker,
attended the meeting.
The Auxiliary made plans
for the near future, to
paint and clean the kitchen
at the Community Center,
with the city agreeing to
help with the cost of paint
and new drapes for the
meeting room,
A Saint Patrick Day
program was presented.
Refreshments, complete
with green punch, was
served.
